Barry S. Gleimer, DO, was born in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University with the honors of magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He received his medical training at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at Kennedy Memorial Hospital System. Dr. Gleimer underwent additional training in hand surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Gleimer is a highly skilled orthopedic surgeon who has been providing innovative and quality orthopedic care to his community for almost 30 years. Dr. Gleimer's scope of orthopedic care includes treatment of traumatically injured patients and sports injuries. He has had advanced training in arthroscopic and open surgeries of the shoulder inclusive of reversed shoulder replacement surgery for nonrepairable rotator cuff tears. Dr. Gleimer performs most of his surgical procedures through incisions with plastic surgical closures to ensure cosmetically pleasing results. Dr. Gleimer is also trained in the latest techniques of minimally invasive carpal tunnel decompression. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Gleimer continues to be active academically as a clinical instructor teaching medical students, interns, and residents in the field of orthopedics for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey / Rowan University.
